My hot list of summer pieces

I’m thinking about what I need for a perfect summer and beach lifestyle – I admit, it’s my favourite season and I wouldn’t hesitate signing a petition that would bring us 365 days of sun and sea. Moreover, I quite like the fact that fashion seems to pay more attention to the beach life and even a bathing suit isn’t “just a bathing suit” anymore, but rather an ace up our sleeve which ensures that we always look and feel attractive. Accessories also lend a helping hand, of course, as do our favourite pieces – the ones we simply love and seem to have a noticeable effect on our happiness. So, I present to you my happy summer fashion list!

Something striped

I think striped T-shirts take up most of my closet and I still keep buying them. I like the nautical style and when could it be more effective than in the summer? A striped T-shirt is always a good investment, and even if you already have five of them, believe me, getting the sixth one will not hurt you even the slightest.

The »it« bag

My favourite one at the moment is either a small leather one (by Rebecca Minkoff) or the larger leather one (by Tory Burch). Admittedly, I favour American designers and natural brown leather has a special place in my heart. I can be wearing totally basic shorts and a T-shirt, but a bag reveals everything: who you are, where you’re going and what is your sense of taste.

Translucent blouse

I think it may be time for me to write an article about these, because I really have many different models and they’re all beautiful in their own way. I like the silk or tulle ones the best, because they’re ever so slightly translucent and oh, so romantic. The material makes them lightweight and pleasant to wear when the outside temperatures turn up.

Long ethno dress

Off the shoulders and the kind that makes you think of a wide brimmed hat. I just bought a model I want to wear constantly. It’s interesting, how practical and wearable it is with flat sandals during the day, and it turns me into a real princess when I style it with high heels in the evening. Such a good buy.

Boho footwear

Doesn’t matter if you choose espadrilles or sandals with pompoms (these have to be bright and colourful). Either way it is comfortable footwear that brings a lightness to your step and gives you a wide array of beautiful and fashionable possibilities to choose from. The beach, a stroll through the city or a dinner date: this footwear is always appropriate and I can just hear it calling for that relaxed style that I love so much.

Shorts

The kind that make me feel good, so not too short, but not knee-length either – somewhere in between. Colourful and playful in a wider cut, sometimes denim with a lace trim. Now that my legs are already nicely tanned, I like all of them, and I find even sleeveless tank tops wearable.

Jewellery for the soul

Usually it’s rings, because I just love them, but I also have quite a collection of earrings and bracelets. Colours, crystals, precious or semi-precious stones and a lot of gold. I realise that silver is trending right now, but I remain true to my gold … I love it, when I look at my hand and notice there’s a ring there, it brings back memories of love, or the moon stone bracelet that magically protects me. I love the feel of the earrings gently touching my neck, letting me know that summertime is my time. And I think it’s yours as well.
