Personal style can be mastered at any age. A fantastic way to start out for those on a budget and with any style is a capsule wardrobe. The idea is simple, buying neutral items that can be used in a combination of ways to make every outfit someone may need. The beauty of growing older is the change you witness, both in yourself and in the world around you. Embracing that change and being proud and self-confident brings the perfect final touch to any outfit. It’s okay to not be comfortable taking inspiration from millennials wearing eccentric outfits, and by no means do you have to take inspiration from them. These are my advices.

Choose the right pair of jeans
They should be darker, because this shade is more elegant and, if possibile, not ripped. Make sure they fit well on your butt and hips, always use a belt to adjust the waist, try with a very normal length, so you can wear a bit of heels.
Everything should be fitted
This means, that you really have to know your right size. And it could be, that your size not is not the same size you had twenty years ago. This does not mean, that you are old, it means just that the body is adjusting and you will need to adjust your wardrobe as well.

Pencil and midi skirts are the best
They are long enough and very elegant, plus, they are usually high waisted, which is really good. It is not necessary to wear just dark colours, you can try with dots and flowers. Combine them with an elegant, victorian blouse, or with a normal Tee and a nice, fitted blazer.
Choose really good materials
Because they make the difference. For example silk tops with lace, nice cotton skirts and never forget about good lingerie. The truth is good lingerie comes first: if you are wearing a high quality bra, also the dress will look better. Same for panties.

Add a touch of something
It could be a black leather jacket, a very nice pair of shoes, a designer bag, some nice piece of jewellery, red nail polish, or a new pair of earrings. Never forget about details, they make everything nice and fresh.

A good blazer, a nice pair of jeans, a white shirt, black or nude pumps, a Chanel bag, a Gucci Belt…These are super classy pieces that you have to own, because they will create a good style and make you feel very confident.
