Despite being a quintessential summer staple, shorts remain a polarising piece that many women avoid and it’s not hard to see why. Showing the legs, when you are not so young, can be an issue, but what I personally think is that it is all about the length. Shorts can be made by jeans, a little more sportive and good for your free time, but if they are cotton or/and linen made, they are very useful for your everyday’s life. Of course you can wear them with flats or even high heels: the more they are short, the flatter shoes should be.
Shorts are a great way to show a little skin and cool down in warmer climes without baring all. Plus, anyone who has endured the uncomfortable hot weather chafe on their inner thighs will know all too well that owning the right pair can make or break your summer holidays. Shorts don’t necessarily have to be short, they can be very light and flare bermuda shorts, which are super chic and romantic. Choose a nice, bright colour, even white and wear them with a silky top.
If you want to add something elegant and romantic to your outfit with shorts, try with a lace blouse with nice sleeves, or a normal shirt, maybe with stripes or plain. The key is to play with the upper side; if the shorts are very sportive, try with an elegant top. Even the crop tops, which are now so trendy, are a good decision. In this case opt for a pair of short with high waist. This will let you have a couple o buttons more and a very nice waist line: show it and fell good about it!
