Whether because these colours mimic the hues of autumnal leaves or simply play contrast to the bright colours of summer, there is something about this season that has everyone dressing in warm, cosy tones and timeless neutrals. Brown, classic like chocolate and very deep; beige, super chic and eternal; cream, so elegant and pure; green, like all th Christmas decorations that will soon start popping up everywhere; and finally orange, like a touch of Africa, so smooth and cool.
Brown
From coffee to caramel, it’s appearing in abundance. Every store and pages of fashion magazines are filled with chocolate pieces, the most stylish women in the streets of New York, London, Paris and Milan are already wearing this chic hue that fits all types of women. So forget the colour’s past bad reputation, brown is now what you must have in your wardrobe!
Beige
Beige is such a fashionable colour because it’s understated and conservative, which translates to being ‘timeless’ in fashion. I think it’s also partly because beige has always been deemed a functional colour and women are really thinking about what they invest in. Wear in the daytime with a crisp white T-shirt and for the evening swap for a satin camisole and nip in your waist with a contrasting belt. I really love the understated sexiness of a boyfriend blazer and jean combo.
Cream
Ivory, cream, stone. These shades are jut perfect for the fall. Well, they work well also in winter, so you can for sure invest in a couple of cream pieces and you will never go wrong. Because yellow works great with blue, cream does too. I love it also in the very special version top to toe; yes, it reminds me of a wedding, but still very sophisticated and elegant. Try and never forget about pants!
Green
It’s a seasonal color with so many brilliant shades, it’s very Christmas and still so wearable! This year green has been such a sought after tone, you will find it amazing with a pair of simple blue jeans, black leather, white pants, deep blue pants and flower prints (because inside flowers you always find something green!). Just play with it and find the right combination for your lifestyle.
Orange
It’s something new, but maybe still not so new. In fact at every winter season we see a lot of orange, red and yellow shades. Orange is the vibrant power color of the year but most of us will either love it or hate it. Before you say a big no, try it with dark blue and cream, stand in front of the mirror and just see how orange is able to pop your eyes and donate something special to your skin. Yes, I guess it’s energy.
