Graceful Story

The jeans of this autumn

I am always interested in the jeans that we will be wearing, because they’re a timeless piece that deserves a place in our wardrobe. This autumn is all about the retro look, because the style is highly reminiscent of the ’70s. To be honest, I haven’t gotten used to it yet, because these types of models aren’t my first choice even though I like the “flower-power” effect, just not on me. The ’70s aren’t the only option, of course, far from it, there are other types of jeans and you just might find a couple that you like.

Flared

They have to be long and wider at the bottom, they are to be worn with high heels (this is a must), white linen or cotton blouses and a wide brimmed hat. Even though as I said, I’m not a true fan of this style, I just feel like buying a pair every time I see Rachel Zoe. Hmm …

High waist

This is another complete revival and a come-back, which young women in particular have mastered. I find high waist jeans beautiful, but they should not look like mommy-jeans, so the waist actually shouldn’t be too high. Ultra wide leg

These are extremely wide models, bell-bottom ones, which can be pretty unwearable unless you’re going to Coachella or a similar event … Since this model will only be in for a short time, I would advise against spending too much money on it; it’s a fad that won’t stick. Marni and Valentino are interesting, but that’s about it.

Straight leg

Straight down your leg, same width at the thighs and the calves. They fall nicely and look flattering on every woman; the newest version is a bit shorter and very relaxed, which makes it perfect for summer days. Victoria Beckham has some wonderful models.

Denim culottes

They are slightly shorter, made of denim, of course, but it’s as light as cotton in this case. Culottes are a real summer hit, so buy some! And they’re so comfortable …

Cropped

Shorter jeans, worn rolled up, they can be tight or loose like the boyfriend model. They look good with high heels as well as sneakers, but they require slim legs and a certain height.

Colourful jeans

They’re all about your imagination, every colour is allowed, and the pastels lead the way. You can also do them in army green, white or red, but I personally go for the more subtle shades, because I find them easier to make combinations with. Plus the fact that the red ones leave traces and can lead to a washing disaster in the form of pink male underwear, which is not the best thing ever …
