Graceful Story

Style of the day: a little bit of country

I think one of my favorite pieces to wear all year long is the long, ruffled dress. It is a kind of evening and elegant piece, when you combine it  with high heels, but if you choose something flat, like ballerinas, sneakers or boots, the long dress becomes wearable and pretty also for the daywear. And this winter I find so many inspirational pieces in the cowboy mood, not just long dresses, but also boots, hats, fringes, belts and jewellery. Everything is sweetly boho and feminine!   The cowboy has fascinated designers long before this current phase, and we’re not just talking Ralph Lauren’s beloved double denim. The rockabilly movement in the mid 1950s was influenced by the debonair, peacocking style of Hollywood cowboys at the time, while the buckskin jackets used by frontiersmen were adapted into the suede, fringed jacket – a significant symbol in the counterculture movement of the late 1960s and 1970s, as seen in films like Easy Rider and Midnight Cowboy.

My style is as follows: long dress Vici, boots Gant, hat Asos, bag Heidi Klum for Lidl, jacket Pinko, white stone ring JCrew, bracelets Kate Spade, Swarovski and Asos
