The beach, the sea and vacations are all factors us women encounter every year and of course there are certain trends, or perhaps guidelines, that help us stay beautiful and suave. The heat takes its toll, which is why we need to give high priority to our choices for the sake of comfort and have on hand accessories to protect us from the scorching sun, such as a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses. There are many more accessories and other items you can wear on holiday, and each gives you another reason to look even lovelier.
Summer outfit: short dress
This is clearly the fastest, smartest choice you can make, because after all, we’re all looking for something comfortable and light to wear in the summer, so a short dress is the right choice. I advise you to opt for lace or a shirt dress, which you can embellish with a belt, although that isn’t necessary, because it looks great and relaxed, when it’s falling on its own.
Short jumpsuit
A great substitute for a summer dress and it’s very comfortable. The legs are somewhat more exposed, but there so are many beautiful versions in stores that you can actually make a challenge out of it to start some smart exercise routines to get gorgeous legs. It doesn’t really take much to get them in shape and their time is now.
Maxi dress
Another wonderful solution: a maxi dress with an Ethno vibe with a pair of flat sandals is so, so sexy. It can be single-colour, printed or floral, it can be polka-dot, striped and with some lace … there is a myriad of different models so I think you’ll find the one that makes you look your best in no time. Style it with a belt or wear it as it is, add a hat and a small bag … It’s the piece that says summer like no other.
Caftan
For all the women with an inner diva, and for everyone else: those who want something more even at the beach. Personally, I’m all for it, because I think caftans are quite sophisticated, reminiscent of lands far, far away, which is exactly what makes them so romantic. It can be short, knee-length, or very long, always a bit translucent, so you can sense the contours of the body underneath it.
Summer footwear
Espadrilles, sandals and everything else that’s airy, light and colourful. Closed toe shoes aren’t the most comfortable, so a good pedicure is mandatory, add some nice nail polish, and you are set to go. There are never enough sandals, white and brown ones are must-haves, and the rest a welcome addition. And since women adore footwear, I know this is an area where you don’t really need my advice.
Summer bags
We usually take a lot of things to the beach and they’re rather bulky: a towel, a few swim suits to change, something to eat, some water … So take a large bag to hold everything you need. The nylon store bags are the least attractive, but a summer bag is a good investment, because it’s not a season’s buy and you can use it for years to come , if you manage to keep it in good shape, of course; mine always seems to fall apart at the end of the season, probably because of all the salt.
Hats
This year they’re huge and they have prints … Opt for bows, ribbons, glitter and pastels. Don’t be afraid to wear one, because it’s not only fashionable, but also quite useful, so always have one at hand. Same goes for children as well as adults. A quality hat is a piece you can also wear with a dress or for a walk during the day, it doesn’t only have to be limited to the beach.
Hair-bands and turbans
Wide hair-bands and turbans are another good option and they usually suit every woman. The secret is the knot or the bow, which creates some volume at the top of your head, so it’s important to tie it well. Play around with colours, opt for cotton, concernimg material, so you won’t sweat excessively, because they can be quite hot to wear.
Jewellery
Keep it colour-coordinated with what you’re wearing. It’s best not to take it too far with metal, even though the summer is all about oversized earrings, which look great when you’re wearing your swim suit, but always keep in mind that there’s also the bathing part and salt water. Fabric bracelets are a good choice, because they can get wet and they still look nice. So, I guess there are a few compromises to be made.

Colors are great in summer but they are more difficult to wear during night-time so keep it simple and choose the three colors that go with everything: white, black and grey.
Try wearing pants sometimes. They are not what everyone is expecting you to wear which is exactly what you need to create an element of surprise. Especially with our Flora pants and their pretty chic gold trim combined with our white shirt Kim (casual and sexy) or the Bobo mini top blouse that gives the exact bohemian touch while staying glamorous.
The summer outfit that matches every situation is the jumpsuit. Short for an evening by the beach or long for an elegant party in a villa, it’s an everyday and every night look. Love your page!
During the heat wave, loose clothes feel more comfortable than jeans. That includes dresses, short jumpsuits and other summer tunics we feel free inside.
Spending the day at the beach means wearing a swimsuit and a vaporous dress on top of it.
