Graceful Story

With the first falling leaves comes the bodysuit

I never forgot about it, I’ve actually been wearing it since I was young and not only because it’s a handy piece that keeps me warm, but also because it’s indispensable with a high waist skirt or pants. I’m not talking about the basic undergarment type, of course, but a bodysuit as a top layer. It’s perfect, because it doesn’t peek out at the waist and this is a piece of good news in the time of ruffled shirts and puffy sleeves. There is nothing worse than the blouses that keep sliding out of place and require us to keep tucking them back in all day long‒as they’re usually too short and end up being uncomfortable to wear.

A bodysuit is the ideal combination for any high waist piece: shorts or trousers, and skirts, of course. All high end stores have shirts in the form of this versatile piece, and they’re the most comfortable, in my opinion. Even denim and jeans lovers will agree it’s a great style combination. Especially now, when mom jeans are fashionable, a bodysuit emphasises the waist line beautifully and optically narrows you down. For the most serious and those who swear by classics, there are suits, which don’t have to be matchy matchy (the less, the better!), because a bodysuit also looks great underneath a blazer or a jacket, even a leather jacket.

We could say that a draped bodysuit is a must in every wardrobe and the front will stay in its place. This way, you can wear it without a bra; for a special or romantic occasion, of course. Also try styling a maxi skirt with it and absolutely get one to flaunt, from the lingerie department, because some lace never hurts, even in combination with basic jeans.

All in all, it’s a comfortable, gorgeous piece that stays in place. It’s won me over a long time ago and I’m counting on another lovely blouse, or two, to spice up my fall wardrobe!
