Graceful Story

Transitional piece: a comfy blazer

I can tell you, it’s really hard for me to write about autumn fashion, because these days, I’m in the middle of the fiercest Florida summer and so it seems impossible that September is just around the corner. But one look at the new collections in stores or analyzing fashion magazines makes it pretty clear that we’re in for a beautiful fall, full of variety and colors. There will be many pieces which will ensure thatour wardrobe is beautiful and appropriate for any occasion. There are also pieces that we’ve seen before, simply because they create good style, and blazer is one of them. The new generation blazer is longer, very comfortable and oftentimes oversized, even though personally, I wouldn’t take the size too far, because after all, we want to remain feminine and keep our curves, don’t we?

And how to wear them? With jeans, of course, because that is the fastest, most basic  and smartest combination. Blazer looks gorgeous with jeans and a basic T-shirt. You can either wear heels or sneakers with it, you can also opt for a super chic combination, such as animal print pumps, jeans, small bag and a longer blazer. When it comes to patterns, we’re sure to run into plaid and earth tones this autumn, there will be lots of leather and suede, which actually goes really nicely with a blazer, because it’s classic, seasonless fashion. Those who prefer sneakers and ballet flats can rest easy, because you can also wear blazers with cropped pants, wool or cotton, while wearingflats.

A longer blazer can even look like a morning robe, belted; it’s a very relaxed look, which is also suitable for evenings in combination with red lipstick and an updo. Blazers will be very hot this fall, so it’s good to have more than one in your closet, not just the classic black, which you probably already have. Until it gets very cold, a blazer can be an excellent substitute for a coat and all the better if it’s woolen and lined. Velvet will be trendy in the fall, as well as floral prints in more subdued variations, rather than lively summer colors.

That’s it for now, although I still hope that the summer lasts a good while longer!
