It’s an interesting piece: a plaid blazer is an accessory that you simply have to get this season, it is a piece that will refresh your wardrobe. You can opt for earth tones, meaning mostly brown, perhaps deep red, green, or dark blue, in which case it’s best to style it with jeans … Much the same as a denim or leather jacket, a plaid blazer is a welcome and versatile piece.
Wear it with a high-neck sweater or a basic white shirt, add leather ankle boots, or‒for maximum contrast‒a maxi floral skirt (you will be delighted how florals and plaid match) and you’re ready for an every day look. The shape can be loose, meaning a straight cut, or tailored, which beautifully emphasises the curves of the female body. Either way, it’s a piece that follows the outline of the body and looks great even with boyfriend jeans and stilettos, just as well as with sneakers or ballet flats. I can safely say there’s a plaid blazer for every woman out there.
Personally, I love Ralph Lauren style and collections. They include lots of plaid, which is reminiscent of equestrian fashion, especially in combination with cognac leather. These blazers are basic pieces that won’t go out of style and are easily mixed into our existing wardrobe. Sometimes the length makes them seem like light fall coats, other times they take the shorter, more elegant shape. Besides the fashionable browns, there is navy blue, which complements jeans beautifully, or burgundy, which allows for some space to play around with the shade of your lipstick or nail polish. Even forest green has it’s own charm and it’s best to style it with nude or off-white tones.
I’ve already found mine, have you?

Grab a baggier-fitting rocker T-shirt and tie it up in a knot at the hip and throw on the jacket. Add a leopard shoe to mix up those prints in a subtle way, grab a tan hat, and you’re good to go. Reach for this ensemble if you’re looking for a young, hip attitude that is casual yet chic.
One of my favorite ways to wear the plaid blazer is over a a dress. xoxo
A burgundy booty adds another layer of pizazz that brings out that pop of color in the jacket.
Try your blazer over a lightweight sweater. You can start with a solid complimentary color found in the print for a fail-proof look.
