Trend of the moment: pearls everywhere

I do believe, that when we were younger, we were all convinced that pearls age us. Or rather, that they’re an accessory for our moms, not for us‒the forever young. Then come thirties, followed by forties‒I’ll pause here, because I still await for the rest‒but I feel that all the wonderful years that have already caught up with us or are going to bring with them some wisdom when it comes to this unique accessory: pearls are a timeless classic, perfectly romantic and elegant, and always useful.

In fashion, they’re the accessory of the moment. Most often, you’ll notice them on the heels of low shoes, beaded on hats and berets, on socks (including short ones, of course), dresses and jackets and jeans, even if that means you’ll have a hard time sitting and end up losing them (well, not all of them, but some). Pearls are the craze of the fashion world and are a hot accessory this winter, a real must-have. Personally, I still like them on fingers or around the neck, and on the wrist, because they’re a symbol of femininity and that never goes out of style.

I’m an avid fan of classics, so I welcome this contemporary wave of freedom, which is in no way reminiscent of old ladies, not at all. Style pearls with white or black, create a contrast with ripped jeans or studs, play around with the balance between “gorgeous” and “quirky”, and you’ll find the key to a trendy look. Get pearls as an embellishment on your bag or sandals, consider this trend for your New Year’s or Christmas outfit choice, because it will not disappoint you.
