I’ll tell you this, I’m more and more enthusiastic about them as I am getting older. One-piece swimsuit is the piece you can wear anytime, anyplace, even though I’ll admit they’re not the greatest, if you want to tan your tummy, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to wear them any less, on the contrary. I love the way they look with shorts, and of course, when everything slowly quiets down at the beach in the evening. They’re perfect to wear on a sail boat and they come in handy to style long wide pants, because some models are so gorgeous it’s a shame to only be wearing them near the water. I have a few of them at home and each is interesting in its own way: sometimes it’s the colours that enchant me, other times it’s the cut, but the fact remains that a one-piece swim suit is indispensable, and here are my reasons why.
Elegance
It may seem self-evident, but it’s actually not: a one-piece is always more elegant than a set, and they’re able to hide the problem areas a bikini will show off.
Coverage
Just enough and never too much, but it really depends on the model. They’re able to camouflage extra belly fat, and with the help of some frills and lace a one-piece is simply wonderful.
Strategic
Because they allow for strategically placed cut-out details, asymmetric plunges, one-shoulder straps, and more. We can play around with them, for instance with a trikini, which is the middle ground between a bikini and a one-piece.
Shaping
Using certain tricks, such as draped parts or a reinforced middle area, a one-piece swim suit can take a few pounds away and shape our figure, which is very wellcome, of course.
Sexy
Leaving more room for imagination and allowing a woman to cover up a bit at the beach doesn’t imply she’s old or boring, not in the least. The right pattern and shape makes all the difference … The diva style is always in!
Dressed
As I’ve mentioned at the beginning, a one-piece swim suit is a piece you can wear with long pants or shorts. Personally, I love them with a long lace caftan, because that’s how they look the most appealing.
Ageless
And appropriate for every type of woman, from a sporty one to the one that swears by sophisticated elegance. So, young girls, middle-aged women and, of course, elderly ladies: a one-piece covers every type of woman and every taste.
Timeless
Similarly to the bikini, this is a model that will always stay in fashion. Every season brings certain novelties, but a one-piece swim suit really is a piece we should own, because it is always practical and appropriate, making it a timeless piece.
So retro
I always say, I’m a retro woman, so it’s no surprise to me that I also love retro swim suit models. I don’t exactly parade around in bikini bottoms up to my belly button, but I feel an affinity toward all the bows, stripes, polka dots and other retro prints. Yup, I like it quite a lot.
Vintage
Taking a look back, we can realise that every super top model has worn it, an it’s interesting to see that it’s exactly the really high-leg pieces that are making a comeback. If only swim suits could last for so long, I’m sure we’d all be able to find a gorgeous model in our mother’s closet!
