My top summer beauty products

Let me start out by saying I’m not going to list all of them, this time I’m going to focus on the ones that I use in my everyday routine, make sure my complexion is flawless and most of all, improve my mood and boost my confidence. Summer is the time to forget about foundations, and only use a touch of concealer here and there, some more blush and shimmering body oil for my skin. The sun and good vibes take care of the rest.

Shimmering body oil

I don’t have a favourite brand, I simply believe that oil has an important presence in our beauty regime in the Summer because it is very nurturing to the skin,  (I have very dry skin) and with glitter, it leaves a subtle golden shimmer. Since the shoulders have become the leading character this summer, I like that it’s all shimmery. My personal choice is Tom Ford shimmering body oil.

Primer after cream

I realised that primer is the secret behind having beautiful skin and less wrinkles (you should definitely buyt it in case you don’t have it yet). It’s a liquid or a gel that fixes the makeup, and it’s a very handy thing to use when you are not applying foundation, because it has a smoothing effect on the skin, especially around the eyes. I use the Smashbox primer.

Concealer instead of foundation

Only under the eyes and a darker shade on the cheeks. I am a fan because it offers longer wear even when the temperatures rise and we perspire. Additionally I like to apply to my face different shades of concealer,and  it seems simpler than with powder, simply using my fingers to blend it together. I use Too Faced Born this way concealer palette.

Moisturising facial spray

I spray it over my makeup, because it doesn’t make a mess, the skin becomes softer and instantly firmer. It doesn’t leave traces, it’s very practical and I just keep it in my bag. I use either Evian or Madina, you can only get the latter in Milan, but it’s an excellent product, because it also works as a moisturiser.

Inner beauty

In the summer, I make sure to do a round of vitamins for hair, nails and skin supplements, and an anti-wrinkle complex. Many of them are offered on the market, even though I don’t think they’re as popular or well known in Europe. They are, however quite efficient and can give you a very satisfactory result, if you use them in combination with the right creams. I use Inner beauty glow complex in powder.

Super cool mascara

It’s all I need. It has to be black, thick, moist enough and clump free. I apply it in the morning, and if I go out in the evening, I just add some more, because you can never do too much mascara. Long, nourished and black eyelashes are always attractive, and it’s a really easy trick to instantly look neat. I use Too Faced Better than sex mascara.
