I think this summer’s fashion will come with a lot of novelties and pieces , which we will be more than happy to wear. Expect colours and florals, romantic dresses and culottes, lots of 70’s reminiscent denim, oversized hats, pointy shoes and hair accessories. All in all, many new and feminine things that will make our wardrobes blossom. I chose seven top 2016 spring trends for you that are guaranteed to take the throne and you can get ready to invest now.
1. Top Spring Trend: Denim Jacket
It never really went out of fashion, but this spring will bring us an abundance of denim and jackets, which are in principle shorter and lighter in colour. They are perfect worn with long summer dresses and you also can’t go wrong combining matchy-matchy with jeans (this one is more difficult to pull off).
2. Top Spring Trend: Open Ankle Boots
If they’re suede, all the better! The toes are visible like you’re wearing sandals, so you opt to wear them without socks. You combine them mostly with trousers, they can have fringes or be completely smooth with a high heel that isn’t super high.
3. Top Spring Trend: Floral Dress
Really romantic, fluttery, very summery so you can wear it with a leather jacket to create a nice contrast. The length is moderate, so it’s quite wearable. You’ll have plenty of patterns to choose from, just mind the big flowers ‒ they tend to visually enlarge the body.
4. Top Spring Trend: Wide-Sleeve Top or Dress
Evocative of the 70’s and very in trend. I think white is your best option, if you like the colour, otherwise you can try classical black or any pastel. It can be embellished with lace and draped, depending on the model.
5. Top Spring Trend: Bow Blouse or Dress
I’ve written quite a lot about blouses, not just because they’re so up to date, but because they’re fashionable. Same goes for a dress, romantic and very proper, which can be knee length so you can wear it more and style easier.
6. Top Spring Trend: Culottes
They’re simply gorgeous and in my opinion quite elegant, but not that suitable for heavier women and those with large calves. You can get them in every possible colour and the monochromatic version is easiest to style and most wearable.
7. Top Spring Trend: Wide High Waisted Trousers
Very proper, but still try to not overdo the width, even though fashion dictates very wide cuts ‒ too wide even. The waist needs to be visible, so wear them with a shorter blouse or T-shirt. As you can see, patterns are this season’s favourites in this area as well: in this case, keep the rest of your outfit much more neutral to maintain a good balance.

CULOTTES!!! My love!!!
Sweet Ruffles…nice page!
Stripes: Designers embraced stripes like never before. In New York, the trend was specific to horizontal stripes! Nice post!
If you invest in a new topper for spring, make it a bomber jacket.
Suede is still going strong, despite the fact that ’70s-inspired fashions have trended for seasons.
