A pair of jeans is undoubtedly the thing we wear most, while at the same time being the piece that holds a special place in our closets. Today’s fashion provides us with many different models ‒ jeans can be tight, skinny, high waisted, low crotch, shorter, dark, light … There are a myriad of possibilities. Jeans started out as leisurewear, but they can surely be worn for more formal occasions nowadays, provided we choose the right accessories and shoes, of course. This time we’ll focus on the shoes and check out, which are the most flattering models to wear with jeans.
Brogues ‒ low-heeled masculine shoes. These are especially beautiful, when you wear them with high waisted jeans, because the more feminine pants create a nice contrast to the more masculine shoes. The jeans can be normal length or cropped; the top should be very feminine and softly falling.
Loafers. These are a nice alternative to ballet flats, because they seem a bit newer and less expected. Loafers are an interesting model that you’ll have no trouble finding in different prints, like animal patterns, or crazy colours. A piece of advice: give pink or electric blue a try; yes, even in the winter!
Laceless sneakers. This is a very good combination; the shoe will be nice and noticeable, especially if you’re wearing boyfriend or cropped jeans. You should choose an unconventional pattern or colour in this case as well. If you prefer classics, go for black, beige or white; there are quite some patterns to choose from in these colours as well.
Stilettos. It can be a classical model or something more out there, such as animal pattern or a metal heel. The height should be substantial, medium ones are the worst, because they don’t elongate the leg enough … So bet on a beautiful heel and a pointy toe.
Ballet flats. An awesome classic that’s never out of style; always a good investment, classic black, necessary powder colour, and the rest of the colours are more than welcome. Get ones with other embellishments as well, such as metal studs, lace, contrast toe and bicolour models. Believe me, you’ll be wearing them a lot.
High boots. The jeans should be extra tight in this case, as if you were wearing leggings, otherwise you’ll have trouble getting the boots on. You should also pay attention to their softness and shape ‒ they can be quite a nuisance when in case the fit is not correct.
Higher soles. Go with skinny jeans and shoes with higher soles; not only does it create an interesting look, the added height will also keep you from getting too cold, which is an added value in the winter. You can find different loafers and laceless sneakers with higher soles, they all look good and are very wearable.
Ankle boots. If you wear these, you should always pay attention to your jeans’ length and the shoes’ height ‒ they should be nicely balanced. If you notice the ankle boot is too high, you should roll your jeans up, and this looks best on a more loose model, because rolling up tight jeans forms a noticeable edge that quickly becomes too thick.

Whether you borrow them from his closet or they’re 100 percent your own, boyfriend jeans make for a cute weekend look!
Skinny jeans and chambray tops are summer staples, but they both have year-round appeal when paired with a pop of color.
Really cool…
