There are many different trends for the hot seasons, but some of them are stronger and we will wear them a lot. We are all looking for clothes that will have a lasting impact within a capsule wardrobe. The spring summer 2020 runways were notably more commercial than usual, we found many pieces to wear in our everyday’s life and the god news is that they look good also on us, not just on the supermodels. These are not the only trends you will find, there are many others, but let’s start with five points.
Clean lines
Keep it simple, minimal, but always chic. Designers are inspired by the clean lines, relaxed tailoring and simple staples, like Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein. There is a real return to minimalist dressing, like building up a classy wardrobe with pieces that you can always combine with something more spicy.
Polka dots
I love them, because they are elegant and feminine. Polka dots will never go out of style and there are plenty of dresses fo the summer season. Th classic way to wear it is to choose a light brown and white, or black and white pattern. But you can play also with pastels and move beyond the usual navy-and-cream colour combination.
Summer leather
It’s a big trend, but sincerely I am not sure you can wear it during summer. As we know leather keeps you warm, so maybe we can try it for the mid season and autumn will be a good option. This isn’t a typical summer trend, however; designers have played with lighter shades and lightweight leathers, so maybe the Bermuda shorts are an option. Maybe.
Amazing suits
The short suit will be one of the key street style trends for 2020. Of course you can still wear “normal” suits with pants or skirts, but the Bermuda shorts are something new and, when choosing the right length, they are really wearable.
Jungle prints
Remember Jlo at the Versace show? Well, this is the vibe. Green, bright, leaves, abstract blooms, palm trees and vivid colours invading dresses, jackets and footwear. I think this is happiness!
