I still feel that a jumpsuit is one of the pieces that save many critical situations. Even though they’re wonderful in the day-time versions as well, we mostly wear them in the evening. We could say that they almost took the little black dress’ place, because they’re as sexy and noticeable as the most sophisticated garments, while being comfortable and making sure femininity is emphasised. It’s one of the reasons I miss summer, because I love wearing it and it’s a good choice even to go to the beach; I just wear a swimsuit underneath, slip into slides, add some casual piece of jewellery that should never be omitted, and the outfit is perfect. I also like the versatility of the jumpsuit ‒ you can wear it with flats or high heels, with a blazer or with bare shoulders, with long knitwear or a coat … the key is to always keep it tight at the waist and to make sure the difference between your upper and lower body is well defined.
If you decide to wear a jumpsuit to dinner or a special occasion, you can wear it without adding anything, individually. But if you think you might get cold, wear a shorter poncho or a blazer with it. You’ll be the most elegant, if the top is the same colour as the jumpsuit. I have many other colours at home, from black or silver to white, as well as an army green, pink and powder one. There are more than simply black ones, some are even winter wool versions even though they’re still sleeveless; they are meant to be worn with a cardigan or something else along those lines.
The ones that are made like a shirt on top are very comfortable and seem more sporty casual. You can wear these with sneakers or other flats, like ballet flats, slip-ons or brogues. All these combinations are also perfect for summer days, when a jumpsuit really comes to life in all its relaxed vibes. If you think you’re missing some spunk or just prefer a more sporty style, you can wear denim jumpsuits or overalls, the ones we used to only see pregnant women wearing, but today they’re a cult fashion item. Just add a white button up and a good piece of jewellery, sneakers or some other sporty footwear, and you’ll be all set for your everyday adventures.
The shorter models are also beautiful, but you should wear them with pumps, which gives them a sexier and more attractive look; but you can also easily wear them with flats in the summer. Always keep in mind that a monochromatic jumpsuit looks best, because it seems more sophisticated. During the warm season there are also florals (this year there will be plenty), or you can go crazy with a wild colour that will emphasise your tan. Head-to-toe colour is also a welcome choice, winter and summer time, and you can be sure you will get plenty of attention.
