Kate Middleton: her wonderful, simple style

I have to say, I adore her and I believe she perfectly embodies the style of a contemporary woman, a mother, and a princess, of course. While Kate is flawless from every angle, I’d like to focus today on her style, which has gotten more refined over time, more elegant, and still very wearable. If you just take a look at all her photos, you’ll realise she loves block colour combinations (which in a way is similar to Melania Trump), and I think she may have a soft spot for accessories, because she always styles her outfits differently. This gives shoes and handbags the key role, because as you will see, she even styles her daywear with small clutches, and we can often see her wearing nude pumps, which elongate her legs beautifully.

One of her advantages is undoubtedly a slim figure, which works great both with dresses and suits; I love the way she wears hats, and Jenny Peckham’s couture gowns, which never seem outdated on her. She takes this ethereal look to a new level, and at the same time wears very little makeup, as she is one of the few, who can count on a pure, natural beauty. Beautiful complexion, lavish hair and eyelashes, and a perfect smile take care of everything else. Just like with every other woman, she often enhances her personal character through her outfits: her serenity, joie de vivre, and mother’s love make her glow. The knee-length dresses, high heel stilettos or platform pumps, lots of pleats and wider shapes, the lace, and very formal creations ‒ they all speak of a woman, who knows exactly what she wants, and is living her dream. The British tabloids often take note of her natural sense of style, when it comes to combining high-end and affordable fashion, which, in my opinion, is a great advantage of women, who love fashion and can afford to experience it.

And then there is her image in the context of her family, because she has two children, and it looks like she enjoys her role as a mother. As a woman I can say that there is nothing more beautiful than a content, young mother, who simply glows when her children are near. I also appreciate the low maintenance aspect of her style, which we can relatively easily adopt: we need many well tailored dresses, monochromatic fabrics, excellent accessories, and high heels. I believe Kate would be happy to wear open-toe sandals every now and again, but it’s not considered acceptable in formal wear. Not long ago, I read an interesting article about her, and the energy she exudes; I agree with the point made there that her husband William would not be as charismatic, if he didn’t have such a wonderful woman at his side. This just goes to show you, how every one of us is a unique foundation that holds up family and society.
