There is no age limit on looking beautiful
Perhaps one of the most damaging ideas in fashion is that women are supposed to become less visible as they get older. But why? Why should a woman stop wearing lipstick because she is 50? Why should she stop wearing a beautiful dress, a short skirt, a striking colour or a pair of heels simply because she has reached a certain age? Of course, personal style evolves. But evolution is not disappearance. A woman does not become less deserving of beauty as she gets older. If anything, she has more freedom to enjoy it because she knows that dressing well does not need to be an audition for anyone. She can wear something simply because she loves it. And there is enormous power in that.

Eventually, the best fashion advice becomes surprisingly simple: wear what makes you feel like yourself on your best day. Not thinner. Not younger. Not more fashionable. More yourself. Choose clothes that make you stand a little taller. Choose fabrics that feel wonderful against your skin. Keep the pieces that make you happy when you open the wardrobe. Let go of the ones that belong to an old version of you. And do not be afraid to have a signature. Perhaps it is a red lipstick. Perhaps it is a white shirt. Perhaps it is a collection of beautiful coats, gold jewellery, ballet flats, jeans or silk scarves.
Style does not have to shout. Sometimes it simply has to be recognisable as you. Because the greatest luxury in fashion is not wearing what everyone else wants. It is reaching a point in your life where you know exactly what you want to wear — and you no longer need anyone’s permission to wear it.
