I am all about wider and also cropped models, which I can wear with heels or flats. Fortunatelyfor me, I’ve got the height, so these models don’t shorten me too much. But they’re here to stay and they come with patterns that look classic and timeless, and materials that will get you excited. This winter is, above all, comfortable and very feminine and to me it seems it’s been a while, since we’ve had such a visually pleasing cold season, as far as fashion is concerned. There are definitely many trousers to choose from, because it’s more than clear women nowadays spend a lot of time wearing pants, since we work a lot and pants are usually our first pick, when we don’t have time to spare, but still want to look well put together. I chose some of my favorite models and I sincerely hope I haven’t left any out!
Leather pants
Tight, just as they should be, so they remain the sexy part of our wardrobe. They’re timeless and also comfortable, and even if it seems they’re a demanding piece to pull off, they’re not. Fashion even goes so far as to recommend them with sneakers, which is fine, perhaps sneakers even look better than high heels, especially, if you know ahead that you’ll be running around town all day long. Style them with loose knitwear and you’ll look flawless.
Tartan trousers
You can opt for a blazer combination, but you don’t have to. Tartan trousers are gorgeous and you’ll find them everywhere today, just take a look at H&M and you’ll know what I’m talking about. There are lots of browns, but dark greens are often just as welcome, as are ochre, black or nice and romantic baby blue tones. There really are many options and these pants look wonderful with a sweater, either classic cutor turtleneck.
Corduroy pants
We’ve started wearing them last year, but this time round they’re even more reminiscent of the 70’s. Why? Because they’re insanely feminine and comfortable. Corduroy is a very grateful material, it keeps you warm and stays intact for a long time, even in lighter tones. If you’re going for the true retro vibe, opt for corduroy in combination with a high waist: it visually elongates your legs and makes you look like a diva. Very appealing!
Very wide pants
They’re not for everyone, because they require high heels. Some women wear them with sneakers, but I would advise against it. High heels make your legs look longer and if you add a wide brimmed hat and a short faux-fur jacket, you’re set. This type of pants usually havea high waist, so make it visible! Blouses are the perfect combination in this case.
High waist pants
They’re a good option for shorter women, because they elongate the legs. Opt for high heels and something romantic, such as a crop top or a lace blouse, even with ruffles or puff sleeves. When it comes to colors, stick to warm fall tones and instead play around with a lively top, because it will be easier to style.
Animal print trousers
The top trend of the season, it looks like everything we see is in animal print! Rule number one is: Don’t be afraid! It doesn’t come off as aggressive or wild as it seems at first. If you’re only wearing one piece with this print, that is good and you are on the right track. Okay, it’s true, these trousers are demanding, so maybe start smaller with a bag or shoes, but when you find the courage, go for it, the world is yours!
