Style of the day: the button down dress

The button down dress is a long standing favorite for women of all ages, sizes and professions. This traditional silhouette is worn to everything – from work and play to evening events. So when a great one comes along, it’s a perfect versatile piece to add to your wardrobe. Even if it is so versatile, I am not a huge fan of the style, mostly because this type of dress usually comes in cotton. In my opinion this fabric is not the ideal choice, because the dress becomes too rigid and hard to wear. But this one is in a super smooth and soft texture, with 3/4 sleeves and a big bow on the waist (have you noticed that I am a huge fan of this style?). I love fashion when it is done this way! It can be worn in many different ways – as a traditional dress with our without the belt, with sneakers or high heels, with a leather jacket or a knitted cardigan. This ability to switch up the button-down dress’s look can make it a perfect piece for all seasons and occasions.
