Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel revolutionized her maison in 1954, when she re-opened her couture house in Paris after the Second World War when, contrary to the prevailing fashion of tightly cinched waists with wide skirts, she launched her suit, consisting of a straight jacket, inspired by men’s fashion, above a straight wrap skirt. Today you can find many different interpretations of her iconic style and of course you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get them. For the “style of the day” I have chosen this amazing Chanel style jacket and paired it with a pair of ivory, straight pants and boots. I have added an ivory basque, which is always so french style and elegant. Winter is not just about black, bright colors are always a good choice!
