Style of the day: the midi summer dress

A midi dress is one of the most versatile pieces you can wear in Autumn because of its hemline, which usually hits halfway between the knee and ankle. The length makes it a great pick for the transitional season. Midis are easy to wear at your 9-to-5, for parties with your friends, and on date night. It’s a common misconception that you can’t wear a dress once Summer is over, but I am sure I will wear this Kate Spade dress also later, with a short bolero, a leather jacket, a long cardigan or a blazer. It was love at first sight and yes, blue is my colour, but that’s not all! I love the ruffles on the sleeves, the bow on the waist, the open back model and, of course, the length. I think this adorable dress puts together many of the summer trends, plus is a very nice souvenir from my last trip in New York.
