My dear shoe lovers, I hereby inform you, that you truly will not get bored! This fall and winter are all about very special footwear that wants to be noticed. This way, you’ll be able to make your every step shine, with the help of unusual patterns and materials, such as velvet ‒ but the best news is that the fashion world no longer distinguishes between daytime and evening shoes. With the help of black socks, making sure your feet stay warm, there are literally no boundries. Today, I’m going to reveal to you all about boots and ankle boots, the latter being perhaps the most special. There are no rules or a formed trend to speak of, because there is none, really. The only guideline to follow is that the shoes have to be wacky enough to make everyone take notice. They don’t need to be a designer model, many of which are gorgeous and popular, because there are other brands, which you can find at an affordable site like www.asos.com, and which can be just as interesting. I believe the ankle boot is the model you will wear the most. It’s not too high, it can have a low heel, and it always goes well with jeans. I consider these a good investment, and if you choose a wild colour, it will be the icing on the cake and ensure a fashionable look, which cannot be a bad thing.
Suede, smaller and bigger stars, and brocade are almost always present, often in combination with one another, and they create a very interesting, lovely chaos, as Sophia Webster, a true shoe icon, showed us. There is also the country style, which is quite wearable, because it’s all about low, leather models that can be embellished with chains or studs, mostly golden. Certain models are reminiscent of the equestrian world and are also useful. Balmain presented a series of low models, and there’s nothing wrong with them, except for the price, which is sky-high (every model costs upward of 1000 €). Animal print is making a convincing comeback: it’s very wearable on shoes, bags or belts, and it doesn’t add to your age, which is good news, isn’t it?
There is no shortage of contrasting details, such as heels: Dolce&Gabbana are masters, when it comes to heels, full of beads, stones and golden colour, and It girls quickly took them for their own. Well, if this model isn’t quite your speed, especially the price, you should know that there are similar and more affordable models out there; just mind the quality of the stones, because it can be a bother trying to replace them, if they happen to fall off. Cut-outs are a novelty, when it comes to fall fashion, because now you will see different shoes, which may seem bizarre at first glance, or at least unknown; try them on and see for yourself, whether they suit you or not. Personally, I love the Valentino model, which mixes classical ballet lacing with black leather; I think it’s a beautiful combination, and at least for my taste, while at the same time also wearable.
