Never fear, this winter will not require a revolution in your wardrobe, it’s going to focus on soft knitwear and romantic pieces instead. We will be wearing jeans, cropped trousers, lots of high heels and ankle boots, delicate blouses, some leather, plaid, and above all, we’ll be very confident. I believe this is a quality we can improve with the right wardrobe, and if you include the following pieces to your existing ones, you will definitely be stylish.
Colourful coat
Far from the basic models and shades of black, the coat needs to be colourful and playful. It’s interesting, how we can wear pastels with anything from jeans to elegant dresses, and they still have a nice effect even in everyday life. A good cut will never go out of fashion, which makes it a good investment even though the modern-time coats don’t last forever and can age quite quickly, if you don’t opt for Max Mara, for example. So another thing to consider is quality wool or wool-blend, simply because it’s more reasonable than only wearing a coat for just one season.
Choker necklace
It’s almost an imperative that it’s velvet, and all the better if it has an accessory. Choker necklaces give the neck an alluring emphasis and provide a sort of appealing effect that never hurts. There are no rules to styling them, because they go well with anything from jeans to a serious suit, and actually give some drama to every blazer. Dark blue, burgundy, green, and pastels are the top choices for colour.
White blazer
Wear it instead of black and be surprised. You will wear it with jeans and elegant trousers, which can be dark blue, brown, black, grey. It always comes in handy and you can style it with a totally basic T-shirt or blouse. All the better, if it has golden buttons or distinct accessory, because everything is allowed. There is just no such thing as too much jewellery, well, almost, so you should wear it, especially if you prefer a more minimalistic wardrobe, which you can complement with accessories without hesitation.
Bow blouse with a twist
Bows are found everywhere, as we’ve said, and so are blouses. Plaid is another must have. Personally, I believe there can never be too many blouses and another one will certainly be useful. Keep it simple or super romantic, and the bow is a requisite detail. You can embellish it with a vintage brooch, if it’s wide enough, or opt for a velvet bow instead, which is also quite fashionable at the moment. There are endless possibilities, and what is fashion for, if not to play around with.
Colourful pumps
I simply love them, and I like them with jeans, because this creates an interesting contrast. Opt for something offbeat and unusual for a wow-moment, because shoes are an essential part of our wardrobe, and should not be overlooked. I enjoy patterns or satin models as well, because they seem sophisticated and just the right amount of glamorous, and not only for evening occasions. I know ballet flats are more comfortable, but high heels tell a completely different story; perhaps not for the entire day, but now and then certainly.
