Curvaceous women are a real challenge for fashion, because the curves aren’t necessarily always symmetric and women often have a wider upper part and slim legs, or the other way around. Then there are the hips, which can also be wider and pose a problem, but you can handle that by layering and choosing the right colors. In a nutshell, fashion always comes to the rescue and offers various solutions, so don’t despair: there are styles and pieces that will make you look even more beautiful than you already are.
Draped knitwear and tight jeans
It’s all about the length and the draping in front, which covers the tummy nicely. I love this look with the white top that opens it up, because plus size women often wear black, because they think it’s the only color they can wear. That’s not the case! Tight jeans may not be everyone’s cup of tea, so I would advise you to opt for a plus size model, because it will have a higher waist and the perfect elasticity for a comfortable feeling.
Pleated top and a blazer
Another good solution to keep attention on your upper body. A pleated top should be longer, so it doesn’t puff up at the belly, you just add a blazer, which can be a bit shorter or the same length as the top. Contrasting colors or color blocking makes the silhouette seem longer. Shoes add the final touch to the look: animal print is always, and I really mean always, top choice! As you can see, only three colors make the outfit in the picture, which is a great combination and solution, so you can easily play around with the shoes or the bag.
Pop of color
Pink, electric blue, red, or yellow. Bold colors‒in right amounts, of course‒make you look happy and lively. Still, don’t go overboard with fluorescent stockings or the like, because the look will be overbearing. Bag and shoes in a similar shade are top choice, making the look elegant and harmonious. A lighter color coat is another great choice, much better than black.
Super sexy high waist
You have probably noticed we live in a time when large bottoms and hips are trendy. So show them off! High waist is an interesting option, the comfortable trousers enable a brisk step, and the tight top requires a loose knitwear, so the curves are hinted , but not too accentuated. A statement necklace rounds the look up perfectly, the woman in the picture wares a pair of heels, so she looks even more sophisticated.
Sporty with a long cardigan
It’s all about the quality and cut of the cardigan. A beautiful cardigan or fringed knitwear, perhaps even a poncho, takes care of everything. You literally throw it over a pair of jeans and you’re ready for every fashion challenge. Style the look with boots or heels and a small bag, or a tailored dress with enough elasticity to singe the critical points. It’s always best to buy garments in stores that specialize in plus size fashion, because the cuts are more precise and will suit your needs better.

Gosh, how nice! I would like to add: make sure you have sufficient coverage. Underwear that’s too small is not underwear you should buy. If you can’t find the right size at your mall or local stores, look online.
Don’t put ruffles on anything you want to look smaller; do put them on areas you want to emphasize. This means that anyone looking at you will be attracted to the area of emphasis.
Nice to read about this! Thank you! My advice: to lose a bit of girth around your hips and thighs, wear low-legged, high-waisted underwear in a firm, supportive cotton. xoxo
Make sure to wear well-fitting, supportive undergarments under your outfit to prevent unflattering lines or bulges!
If you’re overweight and you want to build a strong wardrobe, use light colors to draw people’s eyes to areas you like while camouflaging your least favorite attributes with dark colors.
