It was in 2016 that Pantone announceda powderpink called quartzto be color of the year. This inspired a movement focused on positivity, optimism, beauty, and everything breezy and joyful. Quartz, the crystal, helpsto createinner balance, calmness, a sense of order, peace, and flow.
The symbolic meaning of pink as a form of expression immediately won the hearts of millennials, born between 1980 and 2000. This is the reason the trendis sometimes called “millennial pink”, which was the color most often emphasizedin 2017: sophisticated and discreet, somewhere between salmon and apricot with a tinge of grey, which also tones down the sweetness. This winter was all about Pantone’s “pink ballet slippers”, which was nicely displayedat the Elie Saab, Hermes, Miu Miu and Valentino runways; and the pink wave will definitely rule this year’s warm season as well.
On the red carpet, we’ve had the privilege to see lively and bright pink shades on the lips of Jessica Biel, Margot Robbie, and Emma Stone. They said that pink is a new symbol of feminism, which was an important part of the Golden Globes, right next to the formal black tie in sign of protest against sexual harassment and gender differences. We also noticed a rich raspberry red on runways: bright fuchsia won over Margiela and MSGM runways, soft blush and gentle violetmade the case for Dolce and Gabbana, and Gucci. Pink is sweeping through the entire makeup, from lips to cheeks, as well aseyes. A real gentle pink explosion for a romantic and fresh look.

My favorite colors for summer (that look oh-so-fine on tanned skin) are pinks and bronzes.
Pink is always a good choice!
Pink is the best!
