Six “must have” pieces of a summer wardrobe

To keep you from getting a headache while you’re browsing the shops, looking for the hottest pieces of the summer, here is my very personal list. My job requires me to fulfill an admittedly sweet duty of constantly buying pieces, which I later use either for Graceful Story stylings, hosting events or my TV show called Glitter. Last but not least, my choices also perfectly fit into my personal life. Years have taught me to buy the pieces that I know I’m actually going to wear, so the number of buying mistakes and the pieces that sit in the corner of my closet, waiting for a bout inspiration, is very low. I chose six summer pieces that I adore at the moment and I believe you can still find them on sale or you even already have them in your own closet and only need some extra styling inspiration.

Off the shoulders top

I warmly recommend you get one, because it’s practically versatile and has no styling limits. You can wear it with jeans, a skirt, elegant trousers or shorts to go to the beach; it always looks beautiful and always comes in handy. H&M has quite a nice array of them, they’re 100 % cotton and the price is great. White is a must, followed by every other colour including patterns.

Shorts

The length is up to you, but it’s still a piece that is a must for the summer. Wear them with blouses, basic T-shirts, one piece swimsuits. The shorts can be cotton and a bit looser, reaching the middle of the thighs; they can be ripped jeans, depending on the occasion and your personal taste. Always a top choice and a solution to any dilemma, because it’s comfortable, long enough to prevent any troubles sitting down in it, and you can, of course, wear it with either flats or sky high heels. I like it on mature women and young girls alike, because it knows no limit to seasons or years, it’s eternal and practical, and can instantly change from an evening choice to something you wear to the market, if you wear it with sneakers.

Boho blouse

With puffed or wide sleeves, always white, with embroidery, lace, tulle or translucent inlays. You’ll recognise it instantly, because it seems retro and very romantic at the same time. I like it with jeans and shorts and even a swimsuit, simply because it is so beautiful as an individual piece. There are different colours to choose from, but to me, white remains the most practical and elegant.

Good jewellery

Well, I can certainly say that good jewellery is always welcome, especially in the summer, because we can get away with more experimenting and more clinking sounds. My colour is gold, but silver has its’ own charm, especially with turquoise stones that so fashionable right now. Big earrings, rings, bracelets … I like all of it and it all comes in handy, especially when I choose basic jeans and a white T-shirt.

Culottes

Please, don’t roll your eyes at me, especially if you’ve never worn them before. In that case, trying them on is a must, because there is a very high possibility that you’ll fall in love with them. I mainly chose them because they’re so comfortable, nice and wide like skirt pants, and they enable you to quicken your step, at the same time, like any other pair of pants. It’s an excellent compromise and a trend that will continue into the fall, so think about it.
