The most elegant women in the world, the present and the past, have some common characteristics that can help us define our own style. Clothes are a means of communication. We are really communicating with the world around us at every moment, no matter what we do. Body language experts and fashion designers have built their careers around the belief that clothes are not just an aesthetic component, but a form or self expression. The clothes we wear are telling our surroundings something about us, and we should be(come) aware of that. Clothes are closely related to social situations. We communicate our ideas to everyone around us through the way we dress, while what we chose to wear at the same time a closely relates to social situations. We rarely wear the same outfit to work as we do for a dinner with our friends. Clothes are a way of positioning ourselves at a social event and saying, “Here I am, I am ready to face anything that might happen.”

The most important thing is, how the clothing suit us. Even if we’re wearing the most expensive dress, the ultimate trend, it will all be in vain, if it doesn’t suit us. Lots of women wear clothes that don’t suit them, because they’re wrong for her body type. The first thing we need to do is to get to know our body and learn to emphasise our best assets; the best fashion accessory is confidence.

Leave your mark. Make sure that your style is unique. It doesn’t take much, just a small thing. A wide silver bracelet that you wear all the time, perhaps, or boyfriend jeans. Decide wisely, which the defining element to your style, and stay with it. When you get tired of it, just drop it and find something else.
