It’s everywhere and the fact is, it’s here to stay. I love it, because of its perfect “timberman” vibe that looks borrowed from the male wardrobe, and at the same time comes off as sexy on a woman, which is actually part of its’ charm. It reminds us of country life, shooting stars somewhere in Canada, all-American fashion, or simply a man literally chopping wood, having a a significant erotic note. Tartan or plaid is here and it seems like the perfect way to spice up winter and the cold days when we ache for a flannel shirt or warmer pants, woollen dress, or a jacket that won’t go unnoticed.
I can tell you in advance, if you’re going to browse the web for inspiration, you’ll encounter a sea of pictures and girls that interpret plaid and street fashion in their own manner. Red, black, dark blue, green, brown … There are different combinations, and various pattern sizes as well, which depend solely on your preference and the occasion: smaller print is definitely more sophisticated, and larger more sporty, but in the end it all depends on how we style it. Sometimes all it takes is an accessory, like a big scarf, to be fashionable and add a ray of sunshine to our wardrobe (there aren’t many of those in wintertime!). A-line skirt is one of my favourites, wide and woollen … To me, it’s a piece that always comes in handy, and we can wear it with either a white shirt or a dark high neck sweater. And the knee-length is relaxed enough to even wear with sneakers.
If you want to be super trendy, you have to mix different patterns. It may be risky, but the end result can be quite interesting. Mind the colours, make sure there are only a few, although all that matters in the end is this: be satisfied with yourself, and feel good!

Gingham is always a good and fashionable choice. It really reminds me of Canada and all the things in this beautiful country. Well done.
