The summer dictates many different styles and we always get to play the most with various trends and fashion in general during the warm season. We can each find something beautiful and perhaps different for ourselves, as long as we follow a simple guideline: opt for pieces that contribute to great style and will still be around next summer. This way we can ensure that our purchase is a good investment that will enrich our wardrobe. This time, I chose seven pieces that I particularly like and they all have a great vacation vibe in common, as usual.

Crochet blouse
I adore styling jeans with this one and it also works best this way. Denim shorts or jeans make it especially sexy and very, very wearable. White still reigns among colours; for a smart look even at the beach or simply an afternoon stroll around town.
Two piece set
There are a lot of these this year and they’re quite lovely. I like the matchy shorts or skirt sets, which look very feminine and are indeed wearable. Opt for light colours and complement them with a lace or tulle detail now and then, as they’re actually always a welcome addition. The black version is not bad either‒it looks sophisticated and sexy.

Embroidered dress
Its elegance makes it a must-have piece. Style it with flat sandals, a belt is optional, add a mini leather bag and you’re ready for any type of occasion. Midi is the optimal length in this case , so opt for a lush looking model. While it’s true you may have to pay a bit extra for an embroidered dress, they never go out of style, so you should really invest in this collectable piece.

One-shoulder
Very sexy and attractive; I feel that shoulders and the back are alluring parts of a woman’s body. Style it with some nice jewellery, such as drop earrings, and you’ll look dazzling. Again, my advice is to opt for light colours, because they’re great to wear and look their best. A one-shoulder top looks great with jeans as well as with high waist trousers.
Summer dress
There is a myriad of models, so it’s difficult to define exactly which one we will reach for. The important thing is that it suits you and that it’s airy and light enough. Knee-length, midi and maxi are all suitable options for a belted cotton or linen must-have dress, which exudes vacation-time sense of freedom. Style it with slip-ons or flat sandals.

Maxi dress
You have probably figured out by now that I’m over the moon for this one. I love the Gypsy vibe and the fact this type of dress usually involves playful prints and cuts. A bit of country style never hurt anybody and for a more elegant look there’s always the all-white, which you can even wear for a special occasion or a summer’s night underneath the stars.

Shorts
Don’t go anywhere without them and all the better, if they’re a high waisted and denim model. Shorts are at their peak right now, and they’re the most practical piece of clothing, especially for the beach. They can be smooth, embellished, embroidered, with lace parts or fringe hem … there really are lots of versions. My top choice, right after the classic denim, are white shorts, because they’re so lovely and youthful.

In only a few weeks time it will be September, which hailed the end of summer and the start of Autumn on the meteorological calendar. Bye bye summer, it was such a lovely time…
