Are you enjoying this year’s autumn? I certainly hope so, because I’m already immersed in autumn colours and new fashion challenges. There are many! Autumn seems like the right time to experiment and it’s also the moment to adapt to a new period of time following the summer‒at work and elsewhere. It’s the time for new shades of nail polish and makeup products, new Boho dresses and boots, new velvet and suede pieces, all ingredients, which we can combine in lovely ways to create a perfectly original fashion story.
Soft colours
There are lots of powdery shades, which go as far as sky blue and green this time, instead of sticking to pink, which is undoubtedly still the leading colour among powders. And it’s good to know that all of these colours are compatible, so you can combine them together. To spice things up, or simply bring it up a notch, try the new shade of Chanel nail polish, Horizon Line, and style it with a light, but dim blue.
Black and gold
A timeless combination and the fall always brings back a lot of black. In order to keep it from becoming too stiff or boring, there are golden shades for your nails and makeup. You can also opt for a golden bag or footwear, of course, you definitely can’t go wrong with that. A tip: try the Collistar mirror effect oil nail lacquer n. 315 Oro Puro.
Bold colours
They come in a tide and there are many shades of red, from dark berries to burgundy, any combination you can think of, really. You can use bold colours to brighten up your look and you don’t have to limit it to a detail, it can be a larger piece, such as a fuchsia coat. A leather jacket or trench are also good solutions, and if we’re talking about nail polish, try Lancôme’s Réno Le Vernis.
Romantic pink
All the fans of pink will be glad to hear there’s quite a lot of it this autumn. Nude nails and lips are still trendy and there are new pieces, such as high neck sweaters and knitwear in general, and an abundance of elegant suits, which may require a bit of courage, but they’re worth the risk. If you feel most yourself in natural tones, try Sheers to you by Essie.
Contrasts
We can’t do without them, so it’s good to wear something that creates a nice contrast. Try a light nail polish and a dark outfit, or vice versa. You can play around with animal prints and neon colours, there really are lots of options. Keep in mind that almost anything goes, even colours that don’t match at first glance. So experiment! Try Treat Me Bright by Essie.
Autumn colours
Earth tones, mostly, with a tinge of purple, orange and yellow to spice up the look. Try bright tones, because who said autumn colours have to always be sad? They can also have a hint of lustre, which goes with ochre, brown, green and every shade of burgundy. And the latter is happening on nails: Le Vernis in 185 Minuit by Lancôme.
Earth tones
If that feels too familiar, try copper tones, because they complement fall ensembles beautifully and they have a lovely sheen to them. Go the extra mile, if you love earth tones, and enrich the look with jewellery or accessories that have that coppery shine. Eye shadow looks gorgeous in this tone and looks good on every woman, similar is true for nail polish, which requires a neat manicure. Try Chanel’s Le Vernis in 526 Cavaliere.

Red brings that particular pop to neutral gray.
Classic colour combinations look stylish on everyone, no matter the season. Neutral colours worn together create looks that are timeless and flattering, while providing plenty of flexibility in your wardrobe. Neutral colours include black, navy, white, brown, grey and khaki.
Balance light blue and high octane silver to cool results.
How lovely! Thank you for all the tips!
