When your head or hands get cold, you’ve lost half the chance to have a good time, because everything starts revolving around the feeling of cold and worrying we might get sick. This year’s winter offers us not only beautiful woolen or cotton stockings, but also interesting hats and caps, which we can incorporate into our daily outfits. Furry, woolen, colorful, playful: fashion has a wide variety of things to make you more beautiful and romantic, and this is my personal selection.
Beret
Being reminiscent of the Parisian painters’ hats is probably part of the reason it has taken over French streets, where women seem to know how to look effortlessly chic. It doesn’t have to be black, it’s actually quite welcome, if it’s colorful and playful. Style it with matching gloves to enhance the elegance of the look.
Fedora
This is a timeless classic. It looks serious enough to create a good balance with either jeans or an elegant suit. Add a touch of red lipstick and you’ll look perfect. Stick to neutral or classic colors in the winter, and let black take the stage.
Pom pom knit hat
It’s just so delightfully girly and warm. The furry pompon is the proverbial cherry on top; still, keep it simple, don’t exaggerate with colors or accessories, but rather opt for a minimalistic reminder of childhood. It has to be made of soft wool and large enough, so it can slouch a bit, this way it will be the most comfortable to wear.
Faux fur
The furry aspect makes these hats all the more interesting and as you know, everything furry is fashionable right now‒hats are no exception. This is another case, where you can play around with colors and style the hat with gloves or a scarf. Pay attention to the lining to avoid unpleasant perspiration.

The fedora is the best of all!
The fedora is a hat, of course. But more than that, it’s headgear with history. The fedora’s etymological roots lie in the Greek word for ‘gift from God’, and it’s a style that’s fallen in and out of favour since the late 19th century. In prohibition-era America, for example, it became synonymous with gangsters, which is pretty rad, whereas nowadays it’s more likely to be seen atop the bonces of raffish creative types, concealing a man bun beneath.
When it comes to relationships, finding the perfect match could be as simple as swiping right. But as far as hats are concerned, The One proves annoyingly elusive.
A hat can be that one accessory that sets you apart, whether you’re at a formal event or you’re just running some errands.
