Surely, all of us have those days, when westand in front of the closet and can’t figure out what to wear. You feel like there’s nothing worthwhile to put on and to make everything worse, it seems like nothing will suit you, anyway. I always imagine that the planets must be aligned all wrong and it’s just for one day, because tomorrow has to be better, but I opt for neutral, hoping for the best. Neutral colours are the subdued tones that don’t scream out loud, but remain very elegant, and they’re here to make us look better, of course.
Every fall and every winter bring a variety of beige tones; we can combine them with white, black, dark blue, brown, and sometimes we layer beige on beige, thus making sure we always look well put together. This neutral palette is so chic that nobody will be able to say we haven’t made an effort or that we lack style. On the contrary, we can always spice beige up with some animal print, and even if we stick to white or ivory, that’s okay. It’s best to stick to neutral tones right now, when there isn’t that much rain yet, so our light pants won’t get stained all the time, and we can preserve that sense of freshness that comes with beige: it simply works!
We’re a denim generation, of course, and that is when we feel comfortable and right. Beige goes really well with jeans and denim in particular. Even beige pants with jeans and sneakers are a good solution and I’m sure you’ll wear the combination well. Opt for color blocking light, neutral tones for an extra elegant effect, it always looks good and fresh, even if you’re not the youngest. Fashion accessories have a special place in this story, of course: alongside black it’s the pieces in neutral tones that won’teverlet you down and even if you already have some in your closet, you can keep addingthem. It’s just a safe oasis that we sometimes need.
