A natural look doesn’tmeanwe go without makeup altogether and summer is a time when we need some basic items to takealongon holiday, to the beach or around town when the temperatures are very high. I believe we all have quite a few products in our cosmetic bags, I know I already made my selectionfor these hot days.
Moisturizing serum
To keep your skin beautiful, smooth, nourished and ready for sea-side adventures, you’ll need a serum. It’s lighter than a day cream, which makes it more appropriate for high outside temperatures. You don’t have to apply a cream on top ofthe serum, it all depends on what your skin needs, but we do tend to perspire more in the summer, so a serum will usually suffice.
Highlighter
Above the cheeks and right under the eyebrows. A highlighter has a very special effect, because it gives your face a bit of freshness. It’s best to opt for a golden shade, especially for women who are no longer teenagers. This is because silver has a bluish tone that can appearstrange. Apply the highlighter with a blush brush and tap it with your fingers under the brows, as much as you need, just don’t exaggerate.
Terra bronzer
Instead of a powder foundation. For a good tutorial, check out Kim Kardashian and take to heart about 10% of her lesson, that should get you covered for an daytime look. Shade the contours of your face and use the bronzer as a blush for a natural, sunkissed look. The bronzer can have a gold tone, which means you won’t need the highlighter. There are many to choose from and you have to know it will last you at least five years, although I’m sure you’ll change it sooner than that.
Mascara
It can be waterproof, but that’s not a must. Personally, I prefer the regular kind, because I find it hard to remove the waterproof formula, but one way or another, you need it to open up your eyes and make youeven more beautiful. Even if you don’t put anything else on, you have to use mascara, that’s a fact. Opt for black, it’s a classic and you can use it as abundantly as you like, because there’s never enough.
Lipgloss
Not too rich, because it can be windy at the beach, so it’s best to choose something between a lipstick and lipgloss, something that looks natural and isn’t sticky. On the other hand, a lipstick can have a nourishing effect and protect you from the sun, salt and wind. Almost every brand has a summer edition of lip products, which can come in very handy and you can apply them over and over.
Eyebrow set
Brows frame your face, so you shouldn’t neglect them. First, make sure they’re shaped with a tweezer, then dye them in with a special brow color and fix it with a gel. Use a pencil for everyday to keep them beautiful and tidy, never too long and not too thin. They require a bit more attention, but it’s worth it in the end, because you’ll look perfect.

Creme blushes work well because you can rub them in as much as you like for a dramatic or subtle look.
I recommend to use a powder or an airy liquid foundation. The illusion that we’re going for is natural makeup, so using a thick cakey makeup doesn’t fit the bill. Be sure to apply evenly with a brush or sponge for an even, non-streaky, look and your face will appear naturally perfect.
Finding the right makeup to wear when you’re going for a natural look can be more complex than you think. You don’t want anything too cakey, too bright, or too dark. And we all know, that looking natural does indeed require SOME makeup application – and some skill, too. The best tip that we have for you is to wear colors close to your natural skin tone, and ones that just enhance and perfect your skin.
Lovely products and tips!
