They end high above the ankle and they’re usually quite wide, although not extremely so. This fall, there are many models, a fact which I personally like, even though I know many women dislike them, because they feel it visually shortens them. This is mostly true, which is why high heels are supposed to be the first rule to gain posture and stride, but personally, a don’t believe heels are vital, especially, if you’re very tall (although, obviously, beautiful high heel pumps are always very elegant). All in all, cropped pants can be worn very nicely, and with little effort.

Sexy ankles
Keep in mind that ankles are a beautiful part of a woman’s body, just like shoulders and the back, so you can expose them. Cropped pants give you plenty of room to play with socks; I recently bought a beautiful pair of short mesh socks in Calzedonia, and they’re meant to be seen, with a bow in the back, or with pearls around the ankle. Something new and elegant. In this case, opt for low footwear, possibly derbies, or solid color sneakers.
Ankle boots and wide-leg cropped pants
It’s the perfect fall combination, because it looks elegant and it’s warm. For instance, wool cropped pants and leather ankle boots are a combination you cannot go wrong with. Style it with a leather jacket and bag and you’ll be ready for any occasion. If you’re slender and tall, you can also opt for pointed-toe ballet flats or flat dress shoes. Another option worth checking out are thick tread sole shoes, but try not to overdo this.

High waist
Absolutely wear it so it’s visible! High waist pants are always beautiful and useful, but they require a nice figure, hips that aren’t too wide, and a flat stomach. If you have all these attributes, then, please, opt for them. Wide-leg models are stunning, wear them with blouses: an elegant, silk and timeless piece is a good choice. Complete the look with a scarf for a good measure of grace, which never goes out of style.
Fewer colors
It’s a general rule of good fashion: few colors, three at most, and you are on the safe side. Considering the fact that cropped pants are a specific cut, you don’t need many colors or patterns. If you decide on a colorful version of the pants, keep the top part subdued, at least in winter time and the cold season; summer really does allow for more playfulness and experimenting. Color blocking is another impressive styling option: it looks very sophisticated.
